March 11, 2007 – The Annual
Meeting and Dinner at Elaine’s was a complete success with an excellent
meal, awards and a good time for all. SEE

opportunity to view a slide presentation of a winter trip through Glacier National Park as presented
by Dick Joyce . Also included were additional slide that showed
some of Dick's favorite locations throughout the Northeast.
The Show and Tell portion of the
meeting had an international flavor as Bob Weil, Jr. showed off some of
his English Locomotives and Al Daley showed photos taken during his
recent trip of trams in various countries in the Baltic Sea
area of Europe.
Finally, an informative discussion
was held in regard to various types of DCC installations.
The next membership meeting will be held
on Friday, January 12, 2007. Check the website for

October 14 and 15 - The Nutmeg Division will held a modular
layout show at the Vernon Senior Center
right in the downtown area of Rockville
Everyone enjoyed the
modular layouts including Tabaco Valley
and Time Machine. As well as a number of modeling “clinics” including
how to make trees and a bicentennial collection of state cars
Sept 8, 2006 John Sacerdote gave a
clinic on hand laying track and switches. He also brought a "G" Scale
modular section which you could really see the detail in hand laying
rail and switches.
We had two people bring items for
Show and Tell. Peter Luchini showed several
HO cars
He explained how he
weathered them. He also answered questions about his weathering style
at the end of the meeting. Mark
Granville brought a GP-38 which he had detailed. He explained that the GP-38 had a
different sized plow in the front and a different size plow on the
rear. He needs a picture of the
rear so he can finish the model correctly. Can anyone help?
May 12, 2006 Charlie Bettinger presented an informative clinic
“Painting Clouds and Backdrops” at the Membership meeting. Several members brought a sample of
their latest project for all to see.
Al Daley showed a weathering technique he did on a box car, Key
May showed a section for a modular layout he was building and Bob Van
Cleef showed an 1870’s Drover passenger car he was building.
